    G'day from Auckland NZ

Ex East London AA patrol 77 - 81. Followed in my Dad's footsteps he was an original motorbike and sidecar patrol. Been in NZ 32 years and been in Roadside Rescue since I got here. Main contract is with a big insurance company, State Insurance hence the SIRR username. We do quite a few new car manufacturers RR programmes too + we are a Major battery franchise. The only vehicles we see other than what you deal with would be the Australian Holden Commodore (although in the UK I believe the coupe V8 model is sold as a Vauxhall VXR8) and Ford Falcon XR6 and XR8 and Territorys.

Sadly, the "global recession" has hit NZ as hard as everywhere else, so lay offs and shorter hours are commonplace now. Add to that the Insurance co's play games in assigning work as they are contractor heavy and try to keep the squeaky wheel grizzlers happy at the expense of others.
